Anna entered my life during a crisis after my second brain injury, a time when I felt "broken" and defined by disability. Struggling with depression, I sought to reconstruct my identity amidst new cognitive challenges. Anna's kindness and compassion guided me, revealing that I still wore various hats β mother, daughter, athlete, dog parent, artist, rental manager, singer, organizer, and friend. She helped me recognize the many facets of "me." Our goal became finding clarity and balance. Anna led a methodical exploration of my values, past sources of happiness, preferred roles, and potential contributions. Together, we assessed my activities to align with values and joy-builders. Choosing roles aligned with success, values, and joy proved empowering, enabling me to discern what to let go of without anxiety.

This was a safe space to vent, reset, and DREAM. Anna led with compassion and empathy while also challenging me from time to time, pushing me not only to be a better version of myself but to show up and be present for myself every day.
